1. Data Visualization

This module uses external modules from Kaggle to teach visualization. Make sure you create an account to use the kaggle dataset.

  • the course is aimed at those with no prior programming experience, and
  • each chart uses short and simple code, making seaborn much faster and easier to use than many other data visualization tools (such as Excel, for instance).

Key Highlights:

  • Hands-on Learning: Use real-world datasets from Kaggle (account required).

  • Simple Code: Short, intuitive syntax for quick and professional results.

  • Chart Types Covered:

    • Line Charts

    • Bar Charts & Heatmaps

    • Scatter Plots

    • Distributions (Histograms & Density Plots)

  • Customization: Adjust styles and choose the right plot for your data.

  • Final Project: Apply skills to create your own visualizations.

Perfect For: Aspiring data analysts, researchers, or anyone who wants to communicate data visually without complex coding.

Below is the lesson content and links to the various lessons in it:

1. Hello, Seaborn

In this hands-on course, you’ll learn how to take your data visualizations to the next level with seaborn, a powerful but easy-to-use data visualization tool. To use seaborn, you’ll also learn a bit about how to write code in Python, a popular programming language.

2. Line Charts

In this tutorial, you’ll learn just enough Python to create professional looking line charts. Then, in the following exercise, you’ll put your new skills to work with a real-world dataset.

3. Bar Charts and Heatmaps

In this tutorial, you’ll learn about bar charts and heatmaps.

4. Scatter Plots

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to create advanced scatter plots.

5. Distributions

In this tutorial you’ll learn all about histograms and density plots.

6. Choosing Plot Types and Custom Styles

In this course, you’ve learned how to create many different chart types. Now, you’ll organize your knowledge, before learning some quick commands that you can use to change the style of your charts.

7. Final Project

In the following exercise, you’ll design and create your own data visualizations.
